I'm an all-in kid of person!
I'm going to be with you through this entire process. The planning, permits, getting ready, vows, and even the photo printing & hanging - all of it!
You will have my undivided attention. I've done this more than a few times, and I know this is a new experience for you. I want to help take all of the stress & worries away, because I've got your back!
Simple as that.
You're more than "just another couple" to me!
I'm here for you, your story & your experience!
Filling a day or two full of things you & your partner love, is a day well cherished. Plus add getting married to the love your life on top of that. Best day EVER!
Being able & giving yourself the opportunity to do exactly what you want for you & your partner is one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourselves & your marriage. Allow yourself to enjoy every moment, go with the flow, and to be present on your elopement day.
Enjoy your elopement & I'll make sure it's never forgotten.
Sarah & Elliot
I can't say enough great things about Rachel! Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer, she and her husband are also wonderful people and we enjoyed spending time with them. Rachel is very familiar with Zion National Park so if you're looking for someone who knows all the good photography spots she is your girl! Rachel captured our engagement perfectly and she went above and beyond to time our shoot with the sunset. If you are considering an adventure elopement or engagement session I highly would recommend her! Thank you Rachel for capturing our most favorite memory!
Emotions are natural, beautiful, and need to be remembered often.
When I'm photographing, I not only look at for the moments that are visually beautiful, but I focus on finding the moments that emotionally beautifully.
Emotional beauty is built on deep & personal connection, long-standing trust, and love. The most beautiful moments are the ones shared in passing, unintentional & raw.
My goal isn't to put you in poses that aren't natural or have any meaning to you "just because their pretty". I will let you enjoy these moments, with out interference. Because beautiful emotion isn't forced, it happens naturally.
My style is documentary based. I will truly let you do your thing, and I will be a fly on the wall documenting it all. I may occasionally guide you to a certain spot, but how you enjoy the moment is up to you & will happen naturally.
This is your day. Not mine.
Your emotions, moments & story are my primary focus.
After you reach out to me, I'll get back to you as soon as possible (but just know that sometimes I don't have service and it takes me a bit longer than usual). I'll send over more details about my services and a link to schedule a Zoom call. We'll hop on Zoom, meet each other, get to know each other & see if we're a good fit. I'll answer any questions you have and we'll go over packages.
This is where it becomes official!
After choosing a package, we'll set up payment & I'll send you a contract over to sign. Attached will be an invoice for the $500 retainer, which we'll make you official on my calendar!
Leading up to your elopement, depending on how far out it is, we'll have at least 3 planning calls. I'll send you a link so you can schedule those calls for a time that works for you & your partner. In each call we'll go over details, schedule of the day, permits, etc. If needed, I'll walk you through filling out permit applications.
The closer we get to your big day, the more in-depth the call will be!
We'll make backup plans (because sometimes mother nature may not cooperate) and talk about every last detail so your day can run as smooth as possible!
All the planning & preparation will be put to good work!
But you won't have to worry about a thing, other than being present & enjoying your day!
I'll make sure we stay on track & document every bit of it!
Within a week I'll send you a sneak peek of photos from every part of your day!
After 8 weeks (at absolute most, but I almost always get galleries to you long before that!) I'll send you the full gallery & slideshow. It'll be chuck full of memories & emotions from every part of your day! You'll have the rights to use & share these images.
I believe that photos are meant to be printed & displayed!
You'll have the opportunity to order prints directly from the gallery and they'll get sent straight to you.
I know that creating a mini gallery of photos to hang in your home can be challenging, so I will work with you to create a hanging specific to your home & photos.
If you order an album (or if it's included in your package), you'll work with our album designer as they curate the perfect album for you.
You wake up to beautiful day, beaming with sunshine! You've chosen to stay at one of the unique cabins in the area with a perfect view of the red rock walls. As you sip on your morning coffee, you & your partner sit out on the porch as you watch the rays of sunshine taper down the rocks & illuminate the entire valley. You get ready for your elopement on opposite sides of the cabin, to ensure your first look is a true reveal. I take one of you in my car & the other one follows in their car to our first location in Kolob Canyon. I set you both up & you both cherish your first-look together. We hike up a 1-mile trail to a stunning overlook where you can see for miles. You'll exchange your personal vows before the ceremony, so you can truly cherish your wedding day. We have a little picnic & head back to the main part of Zion where we meet up with your loved ones at the Temple of Sinanawa (where the Narrows are located) for your official ceremony. One of your long-time mutual friends officiates the most beautiful & heartfelt ceremony there ever was! Afterwards you all decide to lightly wade in the river & take in this time as newlywed spouses. You all head back to town where an elegant meal has been prepared. Everyone shares favorite memories & you have a blast! You send everyone home while we adventure in Zion. I show you some of my favorite spots & we hike to an iconic viewpoint in the park where we watch the sunset. To end the night, you have your first dance right as the sun peaks behind the horizon.
You are staying a classic wood cabin with a real fireplace. In the morning you spend time with your closest loved ones, eating breakfast, recounting memories, and enjoying their company. You send everyone back to their lodging to get ready while you and your partner sit snuggled on the couch, facing each other, as you finish writing your vows, as the fireplace crackles in the background. You both get ready before the ceremony and deeply cherish these moments. We do a first look on the wood deck with snow toped mountains and lusciously green pine tress in the background. We drive off to the ceremony location where we meet with your loved ones. The ceremony is at a reflective lake, lined with the lush foliage and mountain peeks just behind it. We gather on the beach at an opening, where you exchange your vows & rings. Nearby, is a table set up with warm food & the cake you've been dreaming of since you were a kid. Everyone gathers around in celebration. Everyone else parts ways, as we meet up with our helicopter tour guide. They take us on a mini tour of local sights and then to a remote glacier, inaccessible by roads. The bright white glacier stands out against the radiantly blue water. We hike around the glacier as the light fades away. Before heading back to the helicopter, we take several moments to find pictures in the stars.
In the morning you and your partner will spend a quiet morning hiking around the area, seeing new views & taking in the experience. You'll head back to where you're staying & get ready together, taking every moment to be together. For your ceremony, we'll go on a loop hike, where at each viewpoint you'll complete a different part of the ceremony. If you choose to have loved ones with you, they'll surround & support you through your progressive ceremony. You'll indulge in your favorite meal & celebrate your new marriage. To complete your day, you'll kayak around a brilliantly blue glacier lake, surrounded by tall peaks. You'll make laps around the lake, & enjoy the wildlife you see onshore. Before heading home, you'll watch the sunset on the shore line of the lake. As the night fades in, you'll snuggle around the fire, chatting about all your hopes & dreams for your marriage, as you roast s'mores to golden perfection!
For Elopements and any session over 4 hours, you will receive the photos back, no later than 6 weeks after. For sessions under 4 hours, you'll receive the photos back no later than 3 weeks after!
I try my hardest to get your photos to back to you as soon as possible! I will do my best to get them back to you before the 6-week or 3-week time!
I do! I require a $500 retainer for Elopements and $300 retainer for all other sessions. Once the retainer is paid and you have signed a contract, your date is secured!
Of course! When we talk about the services you want and go through the on-boarding process, we can also discuss payment plans. We can separate the payments into smaller increments leading up to your day!
Each National Park requires a permit if you are getting married within the park. I've worked with many different National Parks, and each one is slightly different, primarily depending on the popularity of the National Park. Some parks have restrictions as to where in the park you can have it. But the personnel at each National Park are more than happy to help! We can give them a call or send them an email, to find the exact answer for your elopement!
Photography permits are slightly different. Different parks have different regulations and requirements to obtain a permit. It primarily depends on the extent of the photography. I have worked with many parks about photography permits, and the rangers at each park are extremely helpful!
I believe in authentic & candid memories! These photos are about capturing the love and emotion between you and your partner. Instead of posing that is super awkward and unnatural, I will create an environment where you and your partner can be yourselves with each other. I'm not here to tell you how to express your love. I take a documentary approach to photography to authentically tell your story.
